Popovy doll platform shoes with ballet feet are elegant high-heel shoes for BJD dolls in 1:4 scale. I designed this model for Popovy Sisters dolls, MarmiteSue dolls, Vasilek dolls, and other compatible Art BJD dolls with ballet feet. Overall, these shoes add a clean and modern accent to a collector’s doll wardrobe.
Materials and construction
I make these miniature shoes from genuine smooth black leather. The leather feels soft and pleasant to the touch. In addition, I add a beige sole to create gentle contrast. I finish the shoes with a silver metal spikes and a hand made embroidery, which gives the design a light and elegant detail. I make the platform heel from durable PLA, so it keeps a stable shape and looks neat.
Design and fit
These platform shoes are easy to put on and sit securely on ballet feet. Because I shape them carefully, they keep their form during posing and display. At the same time, the open design and minimal details help the shoes suit many outfits without drawing too much attention.
